Jerry is an experienced litigator and has handled numerous appeals to the Tennessee Court of Appeals and the Tennessee Supreme Court.  He recognizes the types of concise arguments that are important to a successful appeal.  He is able to review the record of the trial court, pinpoint areas of weakness in the judgment or the proceedings, and determine effective strategies to achieve either a more successful outcome or, if the client prevailed below, to convince the appellate court to uphold the lower court's opinion.  

 

Filing and arguing a successful appeal can be a daunting process.  Jerry understands the appellate rules and procedures and is able to assist both clients and attorneys who find themselves involved in that process.
